One can certainly see why Heather chose this stud. What type! Spectacular.

Kaepa gives Pat Hastings her best "love face."

Kaepa and Gledi fra Thyturstadir were bred by Ans C. Beer-Shell in the Netherlands. Both girls are registered with the Federation Cynologizue Internationale (FCI) and were imported by Heather Jeanblanc in 2003. They were the last litter bred by Ms. Beer-Schell and come from exceptional lines.

Tragically, Heather was killed in a car accident in 2009. We had agreed, years ago, that if anything ever happened to her, the girls would come to live here. Of course, we never dreamed that would come to pass. The experience of watching Kaepa and Gledi mourn her death has been heart wrenching.

We have depended on the advice of friend & mentor Else Westermann who is very knowledgable about the temperament of the Iceland Dog for advice. Else has been a great help during this time. Both of the girls continue to adjust to their new lives and we have moved to a farm where all the dogs can enjoy more space to run and be working dogs.

Heather cherished Kaepa and Gledi and we will do all we can to honor her memory by providing them with a wonderful life that is full of love and happiness. The girls are direct descendants of my first Icelandic Sheepdog, Perla, so there is a profound and special bond.
