Eyjahunda Puppies

"We had a wonderful time. We practically levitated back to [our house].  We knew we would fall in love with [the puppy] but I wasn't expecting to be speechless when I saw Kol and Rassie. They are so amazing and beautiful in person. I think Kol is an old Soul."

“After owning several dogs, and going through the 'puppy' phase, I would never purchase another pup that the breeder did not participate in the early stimulation activities that Donna did with the pups, we would also never get another pup that wasn't brought up in the 'kitchen' and socialized from such an early age. There is a true difference in these pups and you can tell that there was a lot of time that was put in raising them.

Thanks so much Donna for all your hard work, it is amazing the difference in the personality and the obedience that your pups have shown. No one that we meet can believe that he is only 13 weeks old, he is so smart.”

In addition to health testing (including CERF), our litters are evaluated for good structure by Pat Hastings at 8 weeks to assist in placement. In the picture below, a dog from our first litter is being evaluated again at two years of age. He is sound, has good working ability, is typical and has an amazing temperament. We could not be more pleased. We attribute the outstanding temperaments of our pups to our participation in E.N.S.

We are ISAA Approved Breeders 2009 & 2010
We do not breed outside of AKC reciprocal agreements with FCI and CKC, do not breed young dogs and do not color breed. We follow ISIC Breeding Guidelines:

"Roskur is leading by example and is getting [our other dog] trained in the right manners :-) My sister said she could NOT believe how well behaved and smart he is with the come, sit and stay routine."

Let us provide you with a little information about what we offer the families of those who take home an Eyjahunda puppy.

Let us provide you with a little information about what we offer the families of those who take home an Eyjahunda puppy.

  • Your puppy will be a treasured member of our family until s/he comes home to yours.
  • Our business is home based, so we have time to start working on basic obedience, socialization and potty training with your puppy.
  • Our puppies are "kitchen raised" and the greatest care is given to providing excellent diet, including Omega 3 for brain development and puppy appropriate exercise.
  • We believe it is our job to give your puppy the best possible start. When our 2008 & 2009 litters flew out of the nest, they each knew at least 5 of the 10 exercises necessary to pass the Canine Good Citizen Test.
  • All of our puppies are registered with the AKC.
  • When you get the puppy, they will have had all first shots, and have been CERF tested. Our 2008 & 2009 litters all passed CERF with flying colors.
  • We will purchase your first years' membership with the Icelandic Sheepdog of America.
  • Whenever possible, the puppy will be evaluated by structural expert Pat Hastings as our 2008 & 2009 litters were.
  • Your pupppy will have a microchip implanted.

"... He is the BEST pup, you did a magnificent job with them- WOW!!!"
